Doinku-no-Ya: What doinkies will be watching

The One Anime that Doinkies Can Absolutely Not Miss
I have loved the original Nana manga for some time now, and doinkies is heavily anticipating this anime version. What makes me even more excited is that Madhouse will be doing the animation again. I can’t wait to see how it turns out.
Anime That Sound Pretty Good
Aria 2nd Season
Like Northdoinkies, doinkies also liked the 1st season of Aria a lot. I hope that this second season will be just as good as the first.
Juuousei (Juu-Oh-Sei)
The story sounds interesting and apparently it is based on a well-known sci-fi shoujo manga that ran in LaLa (I think). That just gives doinkies more of a reason to see it. XD
I really like the art and the synopsis, but I guess that it’s going to be another 6-episode series like Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora, which is kind of doinky.
This is based on a K-drama, Dae Jang Geum, which in turn is based on the true story of a peasant girl in 1600s-or-something Korea (doinkies doesn’t recall the exact time period) who rose to become a court lady and later, the royal physician. The K-drama also aired on NHK in Japan under the title Jang Geum no Chikai and apparently this anime will be airing both on NHK and on MBC in South Korea. doinkies really liked the K-drama, so I hope that the anime will be just as good.
Anime that Sound OK, but Might Be Doinky
doinkies doesn’t know much about this series except that it’s done by the same animation studio that did the Rozen Maiden anime and it is supposedly the “spiritual successor” of that series. doinkies liked both Rozen Maiden series, which is quite surprising since it was created by PEACH-PIT, the same people who did DearS (and doinkies avoided the first series for that reason when it first came out; it only took Northdoinkies to talk me into finally seeing Rozen Maiden). But anyway, if this can have a good plot that isn’t some sort of doinky ripoff of Rozen Maiden, then maybe doinkies might check this series out.
Kirarin Revolution
As many who know doinkies know, I am a sucker for anime, manga, J-dramas, etc. about singing, J-pop, idols, or show business in general, especially if it is shoujo. So for that reason alone, doinkies wants to see this series. However, the manga it is based on runs in Ciao, which means that it could be either
A: a stupid series aimed at little doinks and little doinks only
B: an actually OK-to-pretty good series, although still aimed at little doinks.
I’m really hoping it won’t turn out to be A. But if it turns out doinky, I guess it could be good synchro material.
Saiunkoku Monogatari
This is based off a series of historical josei novels that were adapted into drama CDs recently. The art is great, but the plot, although thankfully not a doinky ripoff of Fushigi Yuugi, sounds sort of stupid. But if this series can actually make the plot not seem stupid, doinkies thinks it could be a good series.
The setting sounds really interesting to doinkies, and a good yuri/shoujo ai series is one of doinkies’ big guilty pleasures. Since the manga adaptation of this will be running in Yuri Hime, which doesn’t usually have doinky stories, I’m hoping the anime won’t be another Kannadoinky. And I really like the art too. But again, I guess that if it turns out doinky, I guess it could be good for synchroing, as Willudoinkies said.

hmmm i didnt know Hime-sama Goyoujin was by the same people that did dears (i had forgotten they did Rozen Maiden as well)
I think this is a time to start wishing on candles that it turns out nothing like DearS…. I love the art and character designs… but then DearS was pretty too - just rotten on the inside ~_~
Saiunkoku Monogatari… i need to get more info on that one, Doinky, do you think you could write me a better synopsis, and perhaps send me a nice looking volume cover or something for the wiki ?

Actually, Willudoinkies, doinkies was referring to Rozen Maiden, not DearS. Hime-sama Goyoujin wasn’t created by PEACH-PIT (unlike Rozen Maiden and DearS).
Oddly, PEACH-PIT is now doing a shoujo series, Shugo Chara, which is running in Nakayoshi (!). I wonder how that one is.

And doinkies doesn’t really know much about Saiunkoku Monogatari, doinkies didn’t hear of the series until doinkies read about it on the AnimeSuki thread about upcoming anime a couple months ago.
