Elyscape’s Watch List of Death
Posted by Elyscape
It seems to be the current trend to post a big list detailing the Stuff I Happen To Be Or Soon Shall Be Watching, where I is whomever. As we have already established, I have no willpower, so I’ll do the same thing.
Before I begin, let me define “active” and “passive” watching patterns. If I’m actively watching something, I’ve seen everything that’s been subbed in that series by the sub group of my choice. If I’m passively watching something, I have several episodes lying around that I haven’t yet seen. It’s worth noting that, since some sub groups very rarely release episodes, you can passively watch something at a quicker rate than you can actively watch it. In other words, I can passively watch, say, six episodes of something in a week, yet actively watch only one. That is, the fact that I’m watching something passively doesn’t mean anything at all with regard to how often I watch it.
First, let’s go over what I’m actively watching. I’ll just list the series I’m watching and note which fansub groups I’m using. In no particular order:
- Ayakashi ~ Japanese Classic Horror by gg Fansubs
- Binchou-tan by Manhole-Fansubs and Desu
- Black Cat by Bakakozou
- Bleach by Lunar Anime
- Blood+ by Shinsen-Subs
- Fate/Stay Night by Eclipse
- Gagyu Manga Biyori by Ayu
- Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora by Anime Universe
- Jigoku Shoujo by Shinsen-Subs
- Kage Kara Mamoru by OOM
- Kamichu! by IIchan Translation Group
- Karin by We Suck Fansubs
- Kashimashi - Girl Meets Girl by KazeNoKoeFansubs and Doremi-Fansubs
- Keroro Gunso by Hitoribochi-Fansubs
- Koi Koi Seven (DVD) by Anime-Avatar and Nyanko
- Magikano by Anime Universe
- Mushishi by C1Anime
- PetoPeto-San by Doremi-Fansubs
- Prayers by AnimeSource
- Shakugan no Shana by Eclipse
- Sugar Sugar Rune by Arienai and Seishun
That’s a lot of series. However, given that Kamichu!, Koi Koi Seven, PetoPeto-San, and Prayers are all released very rarely, they don’t really count. But that’s okay! On to the passive series!
- A I R by Ishin
- Amaenaideyo by LIME Anime
- Aria by Crystal Nova
- Densha Otoko Live Action by Tv-Nihon
- GTO Live Action by Japan-TV
- Gunslinger Girl by AnimeOne
- Honey and Clover by C1Anime
- Ichigo Mashimaro by RoR!p0P |3g10N
- Love Hina by Assorted Random Groups
- Mahou Sensei Negima! by AnimeCouncil
- Mahou Shoujotai by AnimeForever
- Mai-HiME by Static-Subs
- Monster by Soldats
- Noir by ADV Films
- X TV by Assorted Random Groups
- Yakitate!! Japan by Anime-Empire
That’s ALSO a lot of series! And now, the series I’m going to watch as soon as they start coming out:
- Damn near everything
I’m going to watch at least the first episode of pretty much anything that comes out that isn’t shounen-ai (and I’ll probably at least sample Ouran High School Host Club, despite its shounen-ai leanings). The only thing I’m not really going to watch are second seasons, but that’s only because I haven’t really seen the first season of anything that’s getting a second season.
Uh… yeah. I guess that’s all for now.

Yeah, I was going to post a list of the things I’m gonna watch, but I stopped when I realized that I was pretty much copying most of the items on the Wiki.

[…] So, as you may have determined from my watch list of death, I’m watching a bloody lot. For example, I’ve seen like eight episodes of Monster in the past three or four days, and I’ve also been watching other things. As a result, there is no way in hell that I’m going to blog everything. Not only do I have no desire to do so, but I also lack the time (homework and robotics and anime) and the attention span (ADHD). So, I’ll be posting short descriptions and/or responses to assorted episodes of things I’ve been watching. These will each be three sentences long. It’s worth noting that I shall continue blogging Magikano, Kage Kara Mamoru, and Ayakashi as normal. I make no promises about anything else, though. […]
