A Bazillion Episodes Condensed Into Nothing
Posted by ElyscapeSo, as you may have determined from my watch list of death, I’m watching a bloody lot. For example, I’ve seen like eight episodes of Monster in the past three or four days, and I’ve also been watching other things. As a result, there is no way in hell that I’m going to blog everything. Not only do I have no desire to do so, but I also lack the time (homework and robotics and anime) and the attention span (ADHD). So, I’ll be posting short descriptions and/or responses to assorted episodes of things I’ve been watching. These will each be three sentences long.
It’s worth noting that I shall continue blogging Magikano, Kage Kara Mamoru, and Ayakashi as normal. I make no promises about anything else, though.
So, what have I been watching? A lot, as we have already determined. Let’s go through some of it (by which I mean this isn’t everything). I’ll probably add some images in a bit.
Binchou-tan
Episode 3
Go with manhole’s subs for episode 3; they provided an extra sub track in “/b/tard dialect” that is seriously one of the greatest things ever. The Adventures of Loli Coal Girl, as it is called in the extra subs, is hilarious. This is my third sentence, as I couldn’t think of another one.
Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora
Episode 1
Mr. Tada is awesome. He’s an aged pervert with the biggest porn collection ever. What’s not to like?
Episode 2
Unshaven-mountain-type Dr. Natsume is awesome. Too bad shaven-doctor-type Dr. Natsume isn’t. But man, Yuuichi needs to freaking apologize already.
Episode 3
Rain sucks. Fire is fun. Dr. Natsume is a moron.
Keroro Gunso
Episode 3
It is simply impossible to hate a series whose ED is randomly about afros. Furthermore, it’s just so freaking weird. And by weird, I mean awesome.
Midori Days
Episode 1
This is honestly the greatest premise ever. 17-year-old punk Seiji Sawamura has no girlfriend, prompting him to ponder that the closest thing he may ever have is his right hand, at which point in time it turns into a girl! She’s totally in love with him and he debates *cough* becoming left-handed.
Episode 2
Not only is Seiji’s hand, Midori Kasugano, totally in love with him, but she is also really freaking rich! At least, her normal self is. A word for Seiji: SCORE!
Monster
Episodes 26-32
HOLY SHIT! HOOOOOOOLY SHIT! HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLY SHIT!
REC
Episode 2
WORK IS LIFE! Matsumaru’s teleportation abilities are enviable. His (lack of) tact, however, is not.
Shakugan no Shana
Episodes 18-19
I recently discovered that I like Yoshida for the same reasons that a friend of mine hates her. Different priorities, I suppose. By which I mean he’s wrong.
In conclusion, I need to get around to posting something worthwhile.

Two things..
1.) Manhole sucks.. then again, i’m waging a personal war against their QC (who had the balls to post a comparison fo the 4 versions on a forum.. and marked all of the others as “off” or “split” or “wrong” while all of manholes were “cute” “literal” “accurate” or some combination of the three, then said AL’s (our version) was “only if all else fails”.. which is a damned lie, as the grammar was perfected by myself, and our translator was a major in japanese and is studying linguistics, and the assistant TL is a fucking japanese native.. it’s just insulting that this little punk (when most of their translations were wierd or wrong themselves) can go off and insult people like that for nothing.. >_>)
2.) is monster any good? been thinking about watching it.. (more like.. too much star ocean, too little anime.. need something to pull me away from my addiction before I go run a 4d mode solo with Albel.. >_>)
Oh, and I hate Yoshida.. but.. only because she made Shana cry. Shana crying is blasphemy of the highest form, and anything that causes such an atrocity deserves to be purified by flames… Though not nearly as much as I hate Yuuji, not only for making her cry.. but.. doing stuff to make her cry HARDER

1) Be that as it may, the /b/tard dialect sub is hilarious. The people behind it may not be respectable, but what they produce is awesome. At least, the extra sub is. The true sub is open to debate.
2) Monster is awesome. And by “awesome”, I mean that it’s one of the best things I’ve seen. At the beginning, it’s a little bit slow. Then, it starts heating up. Then, it gets even better. And even better. And better. This show never lets up. Even during the arcs that seem like they’ll be something of a break, it manages to keep becoming more awesome. It’s sorta like Death Note in that sense; as interesting as they are in the beginning, they become absurdly more awesome in a short period of time. Not only that, but they both leave you screaming, “OH GOD NOOOOOO” at the thought of having to wait for the next part.

Uh… I’m reading the licensed versions, so I have no clue what you’re talking about. I’ll just forget you said anything!
