Uknighted Manganime Life is too short to watch bad anime

Bon works at Burger King, taking out the garbage. All his life he has been told he is ugly, and has never even held hands with a girl. A chance encounter with a mysterious docter, leaves him in posession of 3 bottles of a ‘potion’ which is said to allow him to look like someone else, for 24hrs. Bon gets transfered to another BK temporaily, and he decides to use his potion to transform into the most handsome employee at his previous job. This is a story of that, and about how a man’s looks aren’t what is most important.

Watching this, i kept thinking about how corny a lot of J-drama is, however the twist at the end does a lot to redeem the show’s intial feeling of cheese. This show sort of reminded me of a much more condensed version of Densha Otoko, and it does it well. If this had been a series, it probably would have gotten extremely cheesy, extremely fast. However as only a 45min one shot, it does a good job to tell the story and reach a resolution.
