Pokemon Diamond And Pearl ep01
Posted by WilluknightI was looking for something bad to watch (after all these times of reviewing bad anime, it seems i can’t get enough), and i came across this show.
Surely this will be as awful as anything else i can find, i thought. However in all reality, the episode isn’t that bad - for the most part.
It’s not the sunning pillar of entertainment, it is a kids show, and similar to when we synchro’d Powerpuff Girls, we found that the lack of depth in the show bored us to tears, but at the same time, it was created to appeal to a younger market. Pokemon has the same problem, we found it boring, though i can see how it would have some appeal for a younger audience.
The framerate and quality of animation in a lot of places is pretty bad, which is consistent with the pokemon franchise. Also the music is this awful genki music which sounds like it was adapted from midi files.
The story of this episode revolves around a 10yrold female trainer (I can’t be bothered checking her name) who starts off to go get a pokemon from the local Professor. When she gets there, she finds that 2 of the 3 pokemon she was supposed to choose from had a massive fight, and went running off into the forest. Off she goes to get them back, Finds the waterbird type, and then gets attacked by Aridos (giant spiders).
The worst is yet to come however, the story with the new female trainer ends happily, and who should we see, but Ash, sailing towards us with his stupid pikachu and freaking team rocket close behind. Blah blah blah, team rocket capture pikachu, blow up and go blasting off once again. Its not funny anymore, I don’t think it ever was.

OK you may think it’s a dumbass show but look at it like this…
In japan, most anime is ADULT ORIENTED. Originally, Pokemon was as well.
American TV companies decided that it was too violent as is and dumbed it down.
As a fan I can’t wait until the show arrives here. And I hope in your next Reveiw, Willuknight, that you’ll take a more Neutral approach to what you do.

American TV companies decided that it was too violent as was and dumbed it down to what it is now.
As a fan I can’t wait until the show arrives here. And I hope in your next Reveiw, Willuknight, that you’ll take a more Neutral approach to what you do.

yea you should be! pokemon is awesome and nothing is r=worng about the show.There are millions of pokemon fans out ther who love pokemon and your just one person. mabe you have the game once and sucked at it that you gave up! Well pokemon is awesome and thats that.

I clocked pokemon Red and Gold, before i realised that every game was the same and put it behind me. I used to love pokemon, when i was 11. Once i matured, I realised it was an extremely bland show, with little to none plot development and character growth.

Whats so worong about pokemon?You guys are the ones who are lame saying that pokemon was dum.Why?Pokemon has sold over millions of games and its way more than digimon has ever sold.Digimon is not going to last long as you can see and i dont get what your saying that its for little kids.How old are you now!?Just because you aged doesnt mean that you dont have to quit pokemon!!!What becaue their little monsters in a capsule makes it stupid?Thats so worng to say.You are just one person their are many fans out their you like the franshise.I think you are all patheitc-paranoid people to make fun of someting thats is not that funney to make fun of(why dont you make fun of bakugan,or cartoons that are on cartoon network that are dum as dum.Get a life and stop insulting you guys.Try pokemon out for a change.The pokemon trading card game has been hot for the past years now and its still going strong so try that out first and see how fun it is.You can win scolarships that help you out in school (does digimon ever do that with its trading card game)NOOOOOOO!But pokemon does.Yea sure the show may look like it its for kids.One thing the show gets DUBED like other shows like naruto because its either inaproperate or vilant.Pokemon right now is targeted for kids&family.You know what GUST STOP MAKING FUN OF IT!!Try out pokemon for a change you losers.

Sale rates = quality? No, I don’t think so. Sale rates just mean that advertising and hype work, and work well. Oh, and first you get upset because we “make fun of something that’s not funny to make fun of”, then you ask us to make fun of something else, and THEN you want us to stop insulting… well, anything… and get a life. So… which one is it?
And please, for the love of God, go over your posts and do some proofreading after you have a furious keyboard smashing tantrum because someone said something bad about your fave-o-rite show. It’ll make it look a lot less like your thoughts are all over the place, and it’ll also reduce the “boo hoo” factor by quite a lot.

Yeah the show used to be a lot better. I still cant resist the games at all. From red and blue to whatevre they have out now all winners IMO
