At first look, Shana seems like your typical shounen anime. A goody-goody lead, a fantastical plot and an obvious romance in the wings. The first episode does little to alleviate this. With Shana appearing out of nowhere to save our helpless hero then almost as quickly turning out to be a brat with a big sword. In this episode, not only does the relationship between Shana and Yuuji, and
Shana is forced to confront her true feelings for him. Hirai even has a fierce
shouting match with Shana, declaring her love for Yuuji, while Shana screams
that she can’t, and that Yuuji is hers! It also looks like Ike like Hirai ;D.
Yuuji is really becomes a worthwhile lead character now, he has finally overcome the patheticness that he started out with, and is rapidly developing into a worthwhile person [more..]

Guze no Ou — Kings of the world of Guze, they guide flamehaze in protecting the balance (Marco and Alastor are both Guze no Ou)

There was tones of fanservice, but I suppose since I’ve come to appreciate the
characters, it wasn’t as repulsive as it was when shows like Otome attempt it
