My first look at NANA episode 1 was pretty harsh, and ever since episode 2, i’ve been waiting for a chance to write up another post taking back anything i said that was negative about this series.
It’s important to realise that the first 6 episodes of NANA are the introduction to the series. The first episode starts in present time. The next 4 episode are flashbacks which follow both Nana and Hachi, from their high school days, to the ‘present’, where they’ve just moved to Tokyo. The 6th episode is a mixture of new footage, and reused footage, and is set at the same time as the 1st episode. It’s not just a reprise though. The 6th episode follows the same events of the first, yet focuses on and brings to life different events.

(Actually safe for work as long as you don’t click on the 2 ass images.)

I wasn’t going to bother writing a summary, but seeing as i can’t find any other blog posts about this (or even a synopsis) here goes a brief version:
Read the rest <> 6 commentsOrika is a Revatail (different from humans in that they can perform ‘magic’) however she has never been able to sing/cast spells properly, and is scorned by the other Revatails. She sees a falling object in the distance, which turns out to be Lynar and his fighter air craft which crashes nearby, on the edge of a cliff. While Orika is attempting to help Lynar, the plane falls off the cliff, taking the two with them. Some time later they crash for the 2nd time, on a town. When trying to fix the aircraft, a dragon shows up and starts blasting things with its ‘pepper breath attack’ (for those of you that got that reference, here’s a cookie:) ). The two + the mechanic attempt to draw the dragon away, by taking off in the now-working Aircraft. Followed by the dragon in hot pursuit, they reach ‘the roof of the world’ (or something like that). After dodging the dragon’s flames, Lynar, aided by Orika’s magic manages to defeat the dragon. Just as they’re feeling relieved, the ship breaks and it looks like they’re going to crash again….
In this episode, our main character scrapes his elbow (or sumthing) and his jacket is forcibily removed by another student, who then procedes to lick his elbow…. thats just not right..

I’ve created a way for people to play the PTCG in all it’s graphical glory. Read on for more info.
