Kekkon Dekinai Otoko - The Man who Can’t Get Married

Kekkon Dekinai, is about a most difficult and stubbon man, (Kuwano Shinsuke) who only really cares about himself. He doesn’t attend social events (if he can possibly avoid them) and is happist, by himself. The thought of letting other people into his apartment, makes him ill, and he tends to upset and anger people through his blunt and obtuse communication skills.

Kurau - Phantom Memory — The First Impression

Kurau Top Image

I came at this anime blind, besides the fact that it was produced by Bones. From experience I know that Bones usually makes decent anime (such as RahXephon and Escaflowne: The Movie). When I checked for reviews of the anime, they claimed that it is a little too melodramatic, and emphasized the depressing storyline a bit too much. Being a headstrong person, I determined I might as well check it out, and give it a decent chance. And thus I have just finished the first episode. Click on “Read More” for the full background.

Zero no Tsukaima - 03 to 04 - Synchro

interesting premise, characters and possibily interesting plot. Instead, we are treated to slapstick comedy, characters with no underlying motivation and perverted and gullible antics. Louise plays the part of a sexually naieve Loli, which gives an excuse for fanservice, and komedy in the way of her changing infront of idiot-yuji (not real name). At the sametime, she takes to the hard master rule quite well, delighting in punishing her slave and various other forms of male abuse. This really is a great show for all the loli S&M fans out there (no i do not want to meet you). At time you feel sorry for idiot-yuji, but seeing as most of the time he doesn’t think before he speaks and is easily manipulated (by big-bust-chan), that pity soon fades to disdain.

It’s sad really, this show could have been as good as Shana, but instead it delights in sterotypes that got old eons ago and brings nothing new to the table.

Learning to read kana ?

Categories: Japanese.

Hey people. I’m aware that a lot of people that are into anime, are either learning, or want to learn japanese. A crucial part to this, and probably the easist first step, is learning to read both Hiragana and Katakana, collectively refered to as “kana”. If you know these, then you can read a lot of japanese writing, and spell any japanese word, so long as you can pronounce it. [READ MORE….]

There’s no real purpose to this special–at least, none that I can see. It’s just an entertaining special (and I can’t even figure out what the occasion is). There is some very nice eyecandy in the end, though. ^_^

Starting from a Soul Link synchro and a post on doinkies’ lj, I wanted to see if there really are people out there who actually like Soul Link and Glass Fleet. I found someone suitably impressed with Glass Fleet >.>, but no crazy Soul Link wuv. Nevertheless Willuknight asked me to post this here too, so here it is. :)
